Cassie Murphy
Frequently Asked Questions
About Cassie Murphy Photography
Q: How long has Cassie been doing photography?
A: I started dabbling in photography my sophomore year of high school with my moms film camera. I learned to shoot in manual and process my film in a traditional lightroom. But is wasn't until 2014 that I started to invest my time in to learning the art.
Q: Do you have any formal education in photography?
A: No, I am self taught. I grew up with my mother being a photographer and found my passion for the art when she passed away 4 years ago. Since then I have taken the time to research techniques and editing skills to help expand my knowledge in the field and improve my capabilities.
Q: What equipment do use use during sessions?
A: I currently take all my photos with a Canon 6D body. My standard lens I shoot with is a Canon 24-105 1.4 L and a 35mm lens. Other equipment that may be used would include a speedlite flash, reflectors and stands (only when necessary.)
Q; Do you ever give back to the community?
A: Yes, I love a good giveaway. My goal for 2022 is to giveaway seasonal sessions to one lucky family in the Treasure Valley. So keep your eyes out for my announcements.
